Excellence in Education
It is the mission of Babcock Elementary to provide an epic journey in the pursuit of excellence for all. We believe engaging our parents in taking an active role in their child’s learning has had an incredible, positive impact on the school.
We are proud to say that in the 2024–2025 school year we increased scores on district benchmarks in some grades and subject areas. In addition, we had an 6.5% increase in English Language Arts and a 1% increase in math scores on the state assessments.
A few of the key components that contribute to our school’s success include:
- Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, which focuses on acknowledging the positive behaviors displayed by our students.
- Restorative Practices to resolve problems and conflicts.
- Meeting the specific needs of our students through Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
- Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for collaboration and curriculum planning.
- Schoolwide Reading Intervention period 4 days a week for all students, iReady computer reading intervention program weekly, and small math intervention support with a retired teacher.
