Services
The Early Childhood Education/Child Development department provides families with preschool, childcare, and other related services needed for the young child.
Curriculum
Connect 4 Learning authors created six research-based and classroom-tested units to help children build ten important thinking skills. These skills are useful for specific subjects and also work across all areas of learning.
Handwriting Without Tears helps children learn how to write letters and numbers using fun, hands-on activities that match how young children learn best. The program builds fine motor skills, teaches how to form letters, and helps kids understand space on the page. It also makes writing easier and more fun by reducing frustration.
Kindermusik uses read-alouds, singing, dancing, and imagination to help children learn in fun ways. This kind of learning uses many senses at the same time. Each lesson helps the brain grow and supports children's development at every age.
Diapering and Toilet Training in California State Preschool Program (CSPP)
Children shall not be denied services or skipped over in priority based on toileting status, as learning to independently use the toilet is not an eligibility requirement for CSPP, pursuant to 5 CCR Section 17736(c).
