School Highlights

At Smythe Academy, we value giving students opportunities both in and out of the classroom. We will engage your students through various experiences that many of our students may otherwise never receive.
 
  • Collegiate visits - AVID students visit college campuses
  • Educational field trips
  • Transportation provided for all events
  • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a behavior intervention program that allows staff to reward students for being safe, responsible, and respectful. This encourages better grades and attitude. Rewards trip examples include: the movies, Scandia, Sunsplash, and more.
 

Excellence in Education

Smythe Academy has a history of working hard with our students by providing academic opportunities and interventions. Interventions are provided both during and after school.

Notable Accomplishments

Smythe Academy of Arts and Sciences was recognized as one of “Sacramento’s Favorite” Middle Schools by the Sacramento Bee in 2023 and 2024.
 
Smythe Academy received the 2023 and 2024 PBIS Gold recognition and 2025 Platinum recognition for our work in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
