School Fact Sheet

To inspire each student to extraordinary achievement every day.

School Highlights

Hazel Strauch is a PreK-6th grade elementary school that serves approximately 700 students. Our mission is to provide all students with a high-quality instructional program within a safe and orderly environment where all students will reach their maximum potential both socially and academically.

We take pride in having a strong home-to-school partnership, recognizing parents and families are crucial to our success. We aim to develop long-term partnerships with our parents and community through consistent, open, and clear communication. This allows us to work together to provide support and resources to best meet the needs of our students. Our success directly reflects the partnerships established among the students, staff, and community.

All staff members are committed to the success of our students and providing them with a unique educational experience.

Excellence in Education

At Hazel Strauch, we pride ourselves on providing a well-rounded, high-quality academic program for each student. We work with our families and school community to ensure the success of each one of our students. Working together, we strive to make a positive academic, social and emotional impact on student achievement in an efficient, collaborative way. We do this by promoting rigor, implementing interventions while engaging and motivating our students to overcome any obstacles to meet grade-level standards. Strauch takes great pride in meeting the individual needs of all students through high-quality instruction and includes our WIN/RTI program which supports students at their level and helps them progress toward mastering grade-level standards.

Our staff participates in bi-weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to discuss students' needs, analyze data, and create effective instructional lessons. PLC meetings allow teachers to have ongoing discussions about student achievement data to ensure that each student reaches his/her full potential.
