The NorCal STEM Fair is a 12-county science, technology, engineering, and math competition for students in grades 6-12.
Students in grades 5-11 can participate in a non-judged showcase division.
The NorCal STEM Fair accepts participants in the following counties: Amador, Butte*, El Dorado, Placer*, Plumas*, San Joaquin*, Sacramento, Shasta*, Solano*, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba.
*Students competing from these counties will NOT be eligible to continue on to the California State Science Fair.

California State Science/STEM Fairs
The California State Science Fair is the final science fair of the academic year for students throughout the State of California in grades 6 - 12, serving California's future scientists since 1952. It is hosted by the California Science Center (formerly, the California Museum of Science and Industry).
For the 2015 Science Fair there were 968 participants from 425 schools throughout the State presenting 860 projects. These participants met in competition for awards totaling $50,000.
